October 6, 2023
Dear Families,
We are excited to inform you that a Student, Parent, and Staff Perception Survey will be released beginning October 16, 2023. We strongly encourage all families to participate. Your input is invaluable in helping us shape the future of our district and making our schools even better places for our students to learn and grow.
The Student Perception Survey, tailored for students from 3rd to 12th grade, is a vital part of our efforts to enhance the educational experience of our students. By collecting feedback directly from our students, we gain unique insights into their experiences, concerns, and suggestions. This information enables us to make data-driven decisions that can lead to meaningful improvements in our district and schools.
Additionally, we are also distributing a Parent Perception Survey, which is open to all parents with students in our district. Your input as parents is equally important, as it provides a valuable perspective on the overall educational experience and the partnership between our schools and families.
Here are a few reasons why your participation in both the Student and Parent Perception Surveys is so important:
· Student Voice: The Student Perception Survey provides a platform for our students to express their opinions and share their perspectives on various aspects of their educational journey. Your input as parents can help us better understand your expectations and needs.
· Data-Informed Decision-Making: The feedback we collect from both students and parents will help us identify areas of strength and areas in need of improvement. This data will guide our strategies for school and district-wide enhancements.
· Community Engagement: By participating in the surveys, you demonstrate your active engagement in your child's education and the well-being of our school community.
To ensure a smooth survey process, here are some key details:
· Survey Period: The Parent Perception Survey will be available from Monday, October 16, 2023, to Friday, October 20, 2023. The Student Perception Survey will be provided to students the same week. Each building will determine when the Student Perception Survey will be conducted during the school day.
· Access: Parents will receive instructions on how to access the Parent Perception Survey via the email on file with the district.
· Confidentiality: All responses will be kept strictly confidential, and individual responses will not be identifiable.
· Survey Questions: The surveys will cover several topics related to the school environment, expectations, safety, and other factors that influence the educational experience.
Your input is instrumental in shaping the future of our district and the educational opportunities we provide to our students. Together, we can create a supportive and enriching environment that helps every student thrive.
Although your participation is important, the survey is optional. If you have any questions or concerns about the surveys or their administration or would like to review a hardcopy of the Student Perception Survey, please do not hesitate to reach out to your student’s principal. Parents that do not wish their student to participate in the Student Perception Survey may do so by emailing the building principal. For your convenience, I have provided their emails below:
