Richmond Community Schools has a vacancy on the Board of Education, effective May 29, 2024. An individual will be appointed to fill the vacant position through the date the district receives certified November 5, 2024, election results. The actual term of office for this vacancy Board seat ends on December 31, 2024.
The appointed person will be replaced by the individual elected to the position based upon the results of the November 5, 2024, election. The term of office for the individual elected to the position in November is January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2030.
To be eligible for appointment as a School Board member, the individual must be a citizen of the United States and a qualified and registered elector of the Richmond school district.

Letters of Interest should explain why the candidate wishes to serve Richmond Community Schools and its students. Candidates must also submit a resume of experience and background that outlines what the candidate would bring to the Board of Education. All candidates must provide proof of residency with their Letter of Interest. Applicants will be interviewed by the Board of Education during a future meeting of the Board of Education. Date and time to be determined.
